Scimitar Aquatint Powdered Resin

CHARACTERISTICS: Powder with a density of 1.08.

SOLUBILITY: Immiscible in water and aqueous solutions but may be affected by certain solvents particularly the hydrocarbon types.

HOW TO USE: Create tonal areas in intaglio printing. To produce watercolour-like effects. Powdered resin is sprinkled on a pre-heated metal plate, and adheres to the plate.

PLATE CLEANING: Before applying the ground it is imperative that all grease be removed from the plate. Avoid putting fingers on the plate whilst carrying out coating operation.

REMOVAL: Can be removed with mineral turpentine and certain solvent blends that contain aromatic hydrocarbon solvents (such as lacquer thinners).

PRECAUTIONS

Store in a cool dry place

Product melts at 115/125 Cº

Avoid Eye contact

Fine powder do not inhale
